Famous Tour Showcases Home of Academy Awards? Ceremonies

Hollywood, CA. July 19, 2005 ? The Kodak Theatre at the Hollywood & Highland shopping and entertainment center offers guests a chance to step behind the velvet rope and experience the glamour of the Home of the Academy Awards Ceremonies during its daily behind-the-scenes tours.

The guided tour provides visitors from around the world with an insider?s look at one of the world?s most exciting event venues. Visitors can see an Oscar? statuette, visit the exclusive George Eastman V.I.P Room, view the famed auditorium and get some inside scoop from Kodak Theatre?s own expert guides. Tour guests enjoy seeing where top celebrities were seated on Oscar Night, highlighting the theatre?s unique design and state of the art technology and sharing nostalgia regarding Hollywood?s illustrious past. Tour guides like to point out recent behind-the-scenes highlights from the 2005 Academy Awards show.

A popular feature of the tour is a photographic collection showcasing many winners of the past. The collection lines Winner?s Walk, the path that new Oscar winners take to the press rooms right after receiving their Oscar statuette. The tour also features a gallery of original Academy Award images on permanent display throughout all four levels of Kodak Theatre. The unique sepia toned images capturing memorable Oscar winners? moments are laminated onto Plexiglas and hung in front of beaded panels, which are commonly referred to as the original ?silver screens.?

Inspired by the elegance of a European opera house, with state-of-the-art technical capabilities, the 180,000 square foot Kodak Theatre has hosted the world?s top performers and shows including Celine Dion, Prince, Alicia Keys, The Dixie Chicks, American Ballet Theatre, The Moscow Stanislavsky Ballet, The BET Awards, The ESPY Awards, The AFI Life Achievement Awards, the American Idol finals and much more.

Tour Times:
**Special Summer Hours are available June 1 through August 31, 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM
 Monday ? Sunday, 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM, departing approximately every 30 minutes, and lasting approximately 30 minutes.

Tour Prices:
Tickets for Kodak Theatre tours may be purchased in person at the Kodak Theatre box office. Pricing is as follows:
- Adults: $15 per guest
- Seniors over 65 years old: $10 per guest
- Youths (17 years old and younger): $10 per guest
- Youths (3 years old and younger): FREE (strollers will be checked inside theatre doors)
- Groups of 15 or more receive special savings and should reserve in advance by calling (323) 308-6333.
