On October 11, 2018 from 11am to 1pm on level five (5), JAPAN HOUSE will present Michelin-starred chef Mori Onodera who will lead a workshop on rice, illustrating the importance of its part in a Japanese meal. Participants will enjoy a behind-the-scenes kitchen experience as Chef Onodera shares his rice preparation method. Following the demonstration the chef will serve a freshly cooked white rice dish with Japanese condiments. Plus, participants will receive a sample of uncooked rice to recreate the dish at home. Also visit the free exhibit next door “Beautiful Rice: For a Sustainable Future.” 18 and over.
