The 3,332 seat theatre, located in the Hollywood & Highland Center, opened in November 2001 and soon thereafter became known to more than one billion people across the globe as the first permanent home of the Academy Awards®.
As a first class live entertainment venue, Dolby Theatre has hosted a wide range of prestigious artists and events. “IRIS, a Journey Through the World of Cinema,” presented by Cirque du Soleil, is currently playing at the theatre.
Guided theatre tours are offered seven days a week. The walking tour offers visitors architectural and historical highlights of the world-renowned venue as well as a glimpse of the ultra glamorous side of Dolby Theatre on Hollywood’s biggest night – the Oscars®.
