Not a stone’s throw from the iconic Hollywood Bowl Amphitheater, the Hollywood & Highland Center has acted as its own live music space hosting its popular weekly jazz concert series all Summer long. The series will welcome to the stage Hot 8 Brass Band TONIGHT at 7 p.m., bidding adieu to the hot and sunny summer months and saying hello to the hot and sunny autumn months. It is LA after all…
As always, the event will be held in the central courtyard of the complex and is free to the public to enjoy. With a $10 donation benefiting Project Angel Food, patrons will receive two glasses of wine and an appetizer box to enjoy during the show.
All of which will surely be burned off by dancing. Hot Brass 8 are a sizzling ensemble that’ll make you move, for sure. But will they meet the bar set by the legendary Poncho Sanchez last month? Sanchez, who recorded a soon to be released live album at Wine & Jazz, had bodies twirling and whirling and bumping and grinding like we’ve never seen before.
Either way, it’s a beautiful night and what better way to say goodbye to Summer than with happy horns with hoppy Hollywood locals and tourists? We cant think of one.
